Moving on

sitting on the couch again

music turned up high

and I dont know why

I am trying to write a song to deafen the pain

this is an empty routine

we know where we have been before

we wish we had somewhere else to go

than write these words again and again

life has been a roller coaster ride

down in the valley of a has-been

up in the clouds of a could have-been

nothing left but your pride

that says hold on and on

this is what we chose to live

the things we took and give

the friends we let go

the things we chose not to know

as we moved on

moving on has been a slow song

one that we have been singing for long

but it is finally good to realize

that we dont have to deal with those lies

  1. Ajay…. stay strong, my brother…. remember for whom you write, and you have all the reasons you need to hang on….. Blessed Be…. of late, your poems have deepened, and become, if possible, more personal, as well as stronger…. keep at it…..
